by opening a cafeteria business in
Hawassa town, south of Ethiopia. It is from this apparently little business venture that it grown into a
firm engaged in multiple investment. The Company is comprised of Hotels and Resorts, Tour and Travel,
Construction, Import of pharmaceutical, coffee farm and export of coffee.
Now it is also looking towards manufacturing industries in pharmaceuticals and food processing in
accordance to the government ambition to grow the manufacturing sector.
The vision of Lewi Hotels and Resorts is to be recognized as a modern chain of Hotel and Resort
service provider with an absolute professionalism under the renowned domestic brand name called
“LEWI” and to expand these facilities all over the country and internationally and eventually realize its
mission of promoting the country’s ancient traditions, history and hospitality to the world.
Our Goal is to create a friendly and truly peaceful stay experience and creating a feeling of staying in a
real Home away from Home.
Almost one year in Lewi resort, the first time in Hawassa I stayed in another hotel, but when I saw Lewi resort I changed immediately, people are very nice, all staff gave the necessary support I request The room was beautiful and well-equipped, room was large with a sitting area, many choices are available.

We were on an overland trip from South Africa to Ethiopia and were fortunate to find this resort. After a hectic one month journey we greatly appreciated the facilities needed for thorough R&R. A picturesque lakeside terrace with refreshment service and extensive breakfast on offer, massage, super pool, first class restaurant, efficient staff and more.

We loved this place. After 10 days of dust and simple lodges we really enjoyed staying in the big and nice room on the water front (monkeys and waterbirds came very close). The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the food of high standard. We will visit beautiful Ethiopia again and will return to Lewi Hotel.
